When buying peanut oil, please buy branded edible oil produced by regular manufacturers. Do not buy bulk oil, because some peanut oil may be squeezed from moldy peanuts and contain aflatoxin, which is difficult to identify.
The following methods can be used to identify whether peanut oil is adulterated:
1. Color observation method.
When buying peanut oil, first observe its color. Pure peanut oil has a high density, thick oil quality, and is dark yellow: adulterated peanut oil has a low density, thin oil quality, and is light yellow.
2. Burning method.
Roll a piece of paper into a paper tube, immerse it in oil, take it out and ignite the peanut oil. After burning, if the flame on the paper tube does not emit smoke. There are no small water drops dripping on the ground, and no bubbles appear on the paper tube, it is high-quality peanut oil. If the opposite is true, it is adulterated peanut oil.
3. Heating method.
Take a small amount of peanut oil and place it in the palm of your hand. Rub your hands together several times. Pure peanut oil has a refreshing fragrance, while adulterated oil has no obvious fragrance.
